Detail at Roopangarh
Today we left Jaipur and traveled on to the small village of Roopangarh, dominated by its huge fort and palace owned by the Maharaja of Kishangarh.
Our hotel was the magnificent palace where little has changed since the 17th century (except perhaps the marking out of a tennis court on the vast terrace) and we were reluctant to leave when it came to taking an afternooon stroll round the village to meet the villagers.
They rewarded us for making the effort: we were given a kind and generous welcome with plenty of curiosity and the children were lovely, all wanting to have their photographs taken, so today's blip is a difficult choice.
The detail everywhere was stunning but the corner I've chosen to blip seemed just perfect.
