Best friends

This was sent to me by a friend whom I value so much in my life. Our friendship was created in an unconventional way. I was best friends with his ex-girlfriend. She did not treat me and him the way a best friend and a girlfriend should. Because of that, we bonded because we were the only ones who knew how each other felt. Now he is my best friend. He knows everything about me, and me him. Everyone thinks we like each
other, but the fact is they just do not understand how two people could be so close, and not romantically involved. The think is though, i do not understand it myself. I always thought that I needed a boyfriend to tell of of my deepest darkest secrets to, when all I really needed was a good friend who actually listened and helped. I am lucky in that way, i guess. I found a true friend in high school. Its rare.
