View from my window

So day one in Sri Lanka, manically busy, chaotic people everywhere! Booked into the hotel and had a sneaky nap, then once the temp dropped slightly (that's what I was telling myself) I went for a wonder into the city. I started walking and bumped into a random guy who proceeded to show me to all the Buddhist temples as it was the last day of a 3 day festival. Beautiful monuments to Buddha so colourful and lovingly preserved.

So this view is from my room literally minutes later a massive electrical thunder storm hit. Much to my relief it reduced the humidity.
