Royal Observatory
Since it was such a lovely morning, I went for a walk on Blackford Hill and blipped the Royal Observatory.
The East Dome which I have blipped is home to a 15-inch (38 cm) refractor while the west dome has a a 24-inch (0.6 m) reflector. Additionally there is An 8.5-inch (22 cm) transit circle is housed in a separate building further west. The observatory was built in 1896 and here is a link to the Royal Observatory website.
I hope everyone is having a nice Saturday?
