Elvis's carryout
Un journee en pied aujourdui.
First we walked to the Opera House. Nothing on tonight, and we were denied access for a swatch at the interior.
Then we walked to the Cathedral of Notre Dame. Not impressive from the outside. but well "organised" inside, with a production line of marriages, seeing as what it's a Saturday.
Then The Peoples Cultural Museum - Reasonably interesting history.
Then lunch at a really posh looking restaurant, which it wasn't, but food was superb!
And then? And then? The Revolution Palace - formerly The Presidential Palace - lots more history from the guide, with a neutral political slant. Very interesting building and history.
Then a visit to the hairdresser for She-who-won't-go-grey.
Then draft Sai-gon at the roadside, with scran of doubtful heritage.
Then he appeared, back from the grave, and enroute home with his sustenance. (Or back to the den with Lord Lucan, Jim Morrison and that other Jim the Silk fae Bangkok!)
Off to Mui Ne early tomorrow. 5 hours or so they say.
Good night readers everywhere,
