By yon bonnie banks...
Who needs back and white when you can have a good old, dreich, Scottish day? A refreshing wander along the banks of Loch Lomond. We were lucky with the weather until we reached the only unsheltered bit of our walk at the furthest point from the car and it started to, as the French would say, rain like a cow pissing (pleuvoir comme une vache qui pisse).
We were planning the fireworks this evening but think a roast dinner and DVD is more appealing.
French fruit/veg phrase of the day:
mettre du beurre sur les épinards (literally - the butter on the spinach) - to help make ends meet.
Hope you all had a good weekend.
