Ibyx

This is the picture of an Ibyx that I took down in Ein Gedi, Israel.I had seen this Ibyx go down a slope and out of sight as I was driving down toward the Dead Sea. There was a place where I could park right at that spot so I thought I would walk over to the edge and see if I could get a shot. As I walked toward the edge, he popped his head up and looked directly at me, he was probably about 75 feet away. I raised my camera slowly and uttered partly under my breath, "Can I take your picture, mister." With a 300mm lens, I made this shot which was one of three. Then he gave me a right side profile then a left side profile then disappeared. I was truly blessed.
