Cnidaria
I'm a free swimming cnidaria and proud of it.
My body consists of mesoglea, a non-living jelly-like substance, sandwiched between layers of epithelium mostly just one cell thick. I have many sessile polyp cousins, but find them a bit clingy.
My name comes from my cnidocytes that's my stingy bits I use to capture prey.
This example isn't really made of Jelly as it is on display at the National museum of Scotland. This may well be my entry for this week's WBC theme of 'Jelly'
