cupcake demise...

...of the red velvet - part 1

it wasn't supposed to be this way... you were supposed to be seeing a full-blown cupcake... because some people talk cake on blip - lots of cake... so i thought it would be fun to take a break today - from my usual shots... get out of my box so to speak... stretch the boundaries a bit - and do something a tad unordinary for me...

see... yesterday i was at the grocery - hadn't intended on picking up cupcakes... i don't really have much of a sweet tooth... but i passed the bakery - and there they were - red velvets! with cream cheese frosting! plus little sprinkle thingys on top... oh boy - oh boy... i had no control... they looked so decadent - then the lady said, "they're filled with a small dollop of cream cheese, too" - well, talk about knocking me over - i grabbed 'em out of her hand quicker than you can say errrr... "cupcake" - and dashed to the checkout before more harm could be done.

then i squibbled about the shot today - full cupcake... sideway view... from the top... partially eaten... took several pics - decided i liked partially eaten and before i knew it, the whole darn thing was gone... gone... i'd eaten it all... the plate empty - all that was left is what you see... paper nothingness! and no happiness really with any of my prior shots - what to do... what to do... i fretted - i fussed... i was on sugar overload... i needed a lie down...

had a brilliant idea to tease you with the remnants of the red velvet... the empty paper lining! okay - maybe not quite so brilliant... it does work for others - i thought i might be able to get away with it... after all - it's been my day... bought cupcake - shot cupcake - ate cupcake - got sugar high - had to take a break... the good news? yes, there's always good news! i bought 2 cupcakes... so i get to have a do-over tomorrow... part 2 in my cake quest... "let them eat cake" i want to be able to say - for that will make for...
