The Living Years

The King of Procrastination

I love L, but goodness me when he's bored he can drive me a little crazy. Being stuck in a small room with him all day just exasperated the situation. Luckily, I love him. I believe I dealt with him in only the way a saint could. :p:p:p

When we did finally get outside in the late afternoon it was gorgeous. It was so warm and the sun was shining. As we walked past St Michael's Basilica the door was open, I looked in and the priest beckoned us in. It's a truly beautiful church. There was another couple taking photos, but I don't feel comfortable taking photos in churches. We went for a nice walk to the castle. Sat on the grass and watched the sunset. It being St Patrick's day and our visit to the church started me thinking about my dearest Nanna. She was a proper tiddly Irish lady who always made me laugh. Miss you Nanna. I also got thinking about how church used to be such a huge part of my life and now it isn't.

After the sun had set we left and as I put my gum in the bin, I noticed that it was smoking. L tried to put it out, not sure it worked so, we are hoping it was OK. Went to have some St Patrick's day Guinness in Veszprem's Irish pub. It was nice to sit outside and consume some lovely Guinness, loving spring! However, it was incredibly expensive, 3 times the price of a beer. L was shocked and had a new thing to moan about! I was mostly just upset that he didn't steal the gorgeous Guinness glass or poster for me. He didn't even ask for a Guinness competition entry form. This is something L and I disagree on, he thinks that everything is a scam. I have always thought since I won the holiday to India that you should try everything. We could have won a holiday to Ireland, then the expensive stout would have been worth it.

Next we went for a walk before the giant pancake place opened. The giant pancakes were awesome. The reading material on the other hand was interesting, Hungarian Playboy. We shared 3 pancakes: cheese, yoghurt and ham and nutella and banana. Yummy!

Now we're home and I'm happy because L is working.
Happy St Patrick's day
