National Museum of Scotland
Went along to the Fascinating Mummies exhibition this afternoon with Blueberry. It was indeed fascinating, difficult to believe that the artefacts on display are so old and in such good condition.
It's the first time I've been back to the Victorian building of the National Museum of Scotland since it re-opened, last year. The refurbishment looks wonderful. The interior of this building is fabulous, certainly one of the most attractive spaces in Edinburgh.
The designer Francis Fowke, had real foresight, the building seems perfrctly suited to it's purpose - for visitors at least. I'm sure he would be delighted that his building is still the focal point for so many curious visitors almost 150 years after first opening.
I back blipped for Friday. Apparently I mention scotland 253% more than the average Blipfoto journal.
