Life, as I saw it...

Transportation

I am frequently awed by the mobility of our society. Forty years ago a trip out of the town where I lived was a big deal. Sometimes even a trip across town was something to look forward to! Now we think little about jumping into a vehicle and journeying hundreds of miles...

Then I think about the truck and rail traffic all around and the sheer volume of goods that is moved great distances to support civilization everywhere.

Awesome!

From this vantage point I thought it interesting to mull over highway, rail and river traffic.
