The sandpit

The Starfish

A guest at a beach hotel was strolling along the beach when, in the distance, he saw a human figure moving like a dancer. Intrigued, he decided to investigate. As he got closer, he saw that it was a young boy, and the young boy wasn't dancing. Instead, he was reaching down to the shore, picking up a starfish, and very gently throwing it into the ocean. Thousands of starfish had been washed ashore by the low tide "Why are you doing this?" the hotel guest asked the boy The boy replied: "The sun is up and the tide is going out. If i don't throw them in they'll die." "But there are miles and miles of beach, and tens of thousands of starfish here. You can't possibly make a difference," the hotel guest said. The young boy listened politely. Then he bent down, picked up another starfish, and as he was throwing it back into the ocean, said: "It makes a difference to this one." Each one of us has been gifted with the ability to make a difference. If we can become aware of that gift we have the power to shape the future.

Today was another sandstorm. The worst one I have yet to see here in my sandpit! o Visibility!! Sky is orange and wind is howling. 45km an hour they say. When you live in a sandpit thats lots of sand flying around!!

So after breakfast with a friend. Quickly went onto the beach in front of her villa and went and found a few starfish to blip. Of course we rescued them afterwards!!
