Blue Skies and Wild Cherry
A Chocolate cake is in the oven, so a quick blip, while it's cooking, then I'm off out to supper, It's freespirals partners birthday tomorrow, so we are having a celebratory supper this evening!
Today has been gloriously sunny, I had planned to work in the shop for the afternoon but I just couldn't face being indoors and decided bank holiday weekend visitors, would be walking or at the beach rather than shopping!!!
So It was a much needed bit of down time at home. I began the day planting out twenty or so young birch trees, they had self seeded in a meadow, they are now transplanted in the new woodland. My blip is of the beautiful blossom of wild cherry
( Prunus avium ), which looked so lovely against the blue sky. The Damson and Pear tree blossom is also out.
Bit of leisurely reading to give my back a break from digging holes for trees! Then a lovely bimbly walk up the mountain behind the house, the light was amazing and the views so clear.
Ready for a bit of socialising now, will browse some journals later if I'm not too sleepy!
