Rice noodles

Reminds of the days when I used to dine in Soho Chinese cafés on ho-fun dishes... rarely on the menu, unless you ask specifically for it. The noodles can be bought from the Soho supermarkets but they're not widely available elsewhere. This is the nearest thing I have found, although not as wide as the ho-fun type, dried rice noodles that you simply soak in hot water.

Eagle-eyed viewers will recognise the chopsticks as being Japanese... I prefer this rounded, pointier version to the squarer Chinese type.
