HAPPY MOTHERS DAY to all you mummies out there.

Pretty much every Mothers Day weekend, we spent up at Emma's mums house up in Leominster. For a change this year, we decided to stay down here. Well, I was out Friday night at a concert so the weekend away would have been quite a rush to say the least.

So today Oliver and I wanted to treat Emma to breakfast in bed - well that was the plan anyway. Oliver did help by cracking open one egg before returning to the computer for another fix. When he left the computer for his breakfast, he decided it was 'Olivers' Day so Emma ended up moving to the lounge to avoid dining by herself.

Breakfast done and dusted, and Megan awake from her morning nap, we headed out to Staunton Country Park, a local haunt not too far away from here. We took Oliver a few times before he became obsessed with technology and football, so we wanted to introduce Megan to the joys of nature and animals. Needless to say, she took it all in, and was desperate to get out of my arms and climb into the field where the various animals were playing.

This is Emma's favourite photo, so being Mothers Day, I let her choose todays blip. This wee chap put on quite a display while we were having out picnic lunch. Even Megan took it all in and was quite unphased by the whole thing.

A good day was had by one and all.. Even Oliver enjoyed a few hours away from technology and city life, despite his classic quotes of the day....

"The pig was smelly and looked like a sausage" about the mother pig who was feeding her nine piglets. Bless him really!
