There there
This is a suitably cot mobile-y type photo for the way I'm feeling today.
I've gone to bed early after a day of pain and exhaustion. I've taken my contact lenses out and can't see very far. So I'm not entirely sure what this looks like but it seems fairly pleasant through the fuzz and the fog.
It's the kind of bright, bold, comforting thing babies like looking up at when they're very young and can't see across the room properly. It probably helps ease the boredom of not being able to move much too.
I couldn't move much today. Shame it had to happen on Mothers' Day (Yes, that's right - I like to put my apostrophe after the s) but I did get these lovely solar-powered butterflies from my family to give me something to gaze at while I flopped around (you can't say lolled anymore!) feeling sorry for myself.
Goodbye today. You were crap. The worst thing has been the inability to think, concentrate on anything or make decisions.
Please can I have a working body and brain tomorrow?
