Good Friends

I love how life can lead you to different paths. About 17 years ago, a good female friend of mine started dating a lad from the village. We all had many nights in & out, drinking Diamond White and eating chip butties late at night in his Dad's Kitchen.
Their relationship wasn't mean't to be and after a few years together they went their separate ways. Then one random thing happened, all of a sudden the friendship with my female friend drifted and the friendship I had made with her boyfriend grew.
A lot has happened in both our lives over the years, some good; some sad. Our friendship has grown and what makes me smile is that I now regard him and his family a huge part of my family.
