I have the best mum in the world!

as i type this, i've been up 16 hours, and should really be in the land of nod! i looked at my eyes yesterday, and the bags beneath them....they hold more excess baggage than the Brooks' on a long haul flight!! - i need to get more sleep and drink more water... anyway, back to today. i'd set my alarm for 5.45am, but woke at 5.30am. well in time to get a cuppa before the first F1 GP. What a fab start to the season for Mr Button!! great drive and great win. quick sausage wrap (not sandwich as not eating bread for lent!), and then off to 49 for more painting! 2 coats on each wall in the back bedroom, then back home to cook a lovely Mothering Sunday dinner for my wonderful mum. roast lamb, roasted veg, creamed leeks, parmentier potatoes, daphinoise potatoes, and yorkshire pud....not to forget the onion sauce, and mint sauce too!! apple and pecan crumble for desserts. visit too from bro and the fam - prince on form as usual. then after i relaxed on the settee, and started to plan our Diamond Jubilee Big Family Lunch - ordered loads of Union Jack bits n' pieces! Can't wait! now bed and homeland. alarm set to hopefully include a run in the morn....we'll see! oh, and the blip....i've given up choc and bread for lent, but tangtastics have kind of taken over my life!!! love the fizz!!
