Mum

My Mum is not a huge fan of Mother's Day, but we both agree it's as good an excuse as any to go for a nice lunch...even though we can usually find a reason most Sundays!

We went to Balgedie Toll not far from Loch Leven today for Steak Pie. It is a place I used to go when I was wee with my parents and grandparents and is one of my earliest memories. There was a gap of about 20 years when I didn't go and then introduced my family to it a few years back. Now three generations of the family go, just like all those years ago. As well as the steak pie, I also had the 'Balgedie Smokie' for a starter - both courses were delicious. Certainly would recommend a visit if you are visiting the area.

Went along to Loch Leven afterwards for an ice cream and a walk. Spotted some cygnets swimming against the tide and got a few nice shots. Then one clearly decided that he would get where he wanted to go quicker by flying. We were on the bridge and he flew past us, about a foot away. Got a snatched shot of him but today's blip is a good way to remember a lovely day. Back into the real world tomorrow...
