Wild Weather

Today has been a day of startling contrasts. We woke to a beautiful morning, with sun, blue skies, and the garden heavy with dew.

It indeed felt like the first day of Autumn. We were all saying in the staffroom how lucky our Gold Duke of Edinburgh kids were to have such a good last day kayaking after the rainy weekend. It lasted only a few hours. More drizzle and mizzle.

Then, towards the end of the day, the light became quite pink and warm, and the sun shone on the water. However, the storm clouds were not far away, and it made for really amazing skies.

Get home, wee boat! It's too wild for comfort......


........... having said that, what is this compared with New Orleans?
