The demountable

This is Alex's classroom. The 'mobile' as I knew it in England is called the demountable in Australia. There have been 4 new classrooms added since he started there and the school continues to expand yearly. These classrooms perform poorly from an energy point of view and get very hot (ie above 40 degrees) without air conditioners. Given they are the only classrooms with air conditioners the kids quite like them. Alex is hoping I will give in one day and send him to the luxurious private school down the road: they don't have demountables there!!
