Thorny Beauty.

On and off rain today but still bright and not cold. On our walk Dileas and I found that the sun over the weekend had brought out the buds on lots of trees and bushes. There are lots of hawthorn hedges round the farm where we walk and the farmer had given them their spring cut. The buds are forming all over and they will happily grow now until the autumn. Once all the birds etc are finished nesting they will be cut back again. Meanwhile they will soon be covered in blossom which lasts only a short time but definitely means we are in springtime. In another harbinger of spring we have blue birds nesting in the box out side our living room window. Great excitement cos we didn't have any last year. We can sit and watch them come and go. I love it when the fat babies start fledging. Have a good evening all.
