sound by sound

Luckily by the last child I have learnt how the children lean to read phonetically and break those words down, sound by sound. It was not the case for me in New Zealand so many, many moons ago! Needless to say with the first child I was all over the place with the sounds and with my New Zealand accent on top, the poor kid was often confused.

Now I can 'a' and 'oo' and 'e' with the best of them and it has helped my spelling immensely I might add!
