Eleven Months ago ....

.... Andy Mill and I were travelling South through the town of Salida, Colorado, when we saw a guitar being carried into Hatties (wonderful) Bar.

Andy played there that night.

And from this we were invited by Irving to go
on his Burning Chicken Show,
and, a month later, on our way back North,
on Rebecca's Country Fried Chicken Show,
both on KHEN 106.9 fm free range radio.

This burning chicken is being smoked in sawdust
at 10000 degrees centigrade for a crackle glaze
by Ronnie Fulton.

I dedicate this blip to the extraordinary people of Salida,
to their exceptional hospitality, enthusiasm and kindness,
to their music, food, drink and conversation.

Whenever I think of you all I feel homesick for Salida.
