Small Things

Went away to my buddies lake home for the Holiday Weekend. Drinking, Fishing, Eating and generaly just "hanging out". Got up way to early after going to bed way too late. I jumped in the boat to go capture a sun rise on a calm, still lake- I chose this as it is the small things in life that make it great

I remember pulling away from the dock in the dawns cold mist. Hearing fish jumping and seeing the sun poke over some trees into the promise of a great Labor Day weekend.Mist holding onto the Lakes surface, just visible in the early light. It was sureal-The small moments of just being aware of the world around me- having the ability to capture it and look back tonight and remeber that this is what I live for: the small things....
