Spring Has Sprung

I have seen a number of pictures, even quite a while back, of blossom on trees. Obviously the fairly mild winter into spring has brought things along a bit.

I really noticed it myself over the end of last week and the weekend when the trees at the bottom of our garden (a pear tree and a 'cherry' plum tree) were budding up, and the cherry plum has burst into a riot of blossom (if blossom does rioting, perhaps in a very nice, fragrant way).

With the lovely weather this morning it seemed churlish to not go down the garden and get a picture of it whilst it was all nice and pristine.
