Ten Years....

.....my service recognition thingy has arrived from Scout HQ; a secret base buried deep in the Swiss mountains and staffed by tall blonde woman with large breasts. Apparently, I've done 10 years as an adult leader (albeit in two stints). I was only planning to help for a year or two when I first went along to help, but these things have a habit of not letting go once they have their claws into you. Baden-Powell, the founder of the movement, is credited with many famous quotes, some of which haven't travelled well over time, but as a Scotland Rugby fan my favourite has always been, ""O God, help me to win, but in thy wisdom if thou willest me not to win, then O God, make me a good loser." We've had plenty of practice in the latter.
