Lunch Spot...

...at Coneythorpe, a small village about half way between Harrogate and York. M and I often meet there for lunch at the village pub - The Tiger Inn - very good food at very reasonable prices, and always busy.

This is the village pump on the village green, with tulips soaking up the sunshine.

The name Coneythorpe comes from the Danish/Viking colonisation of Yorkshire in the 10th and 11th centuries. Derived from the old Danish "Konig-thorpe" or "Koning-thorpe" meaning King's settlement.
There's a Coney Street in York, which is thought to come from the same root.
