Sore thumb

This is my daughter's poorly thumb.

How did she do it? Promise not to laugh ......................... she shut her thumb in the door .......please I said don't laugh.

She shut her thumb in the door as she was leaving for school this morning - it didn't start bleeding at first but by the time she got to school she was told to go to the first aid room who told her to go to the doctor's surgery only 3/400 yards away - they told her she needed to go to minor injuries unit at Moreton in Marsh about 9 miles away - they dressed it put her arm in a sling and told her she needed an X ray at Cirencester 26 miles away.

Her mum took her to Moreton and then I picked her up and took her to Cirencester - after the X-ray they said they would send the results back to Moreton but I persuaded them to look at the X-rays at Cirencester - they did and no break.

I'm glad it wasn't something life threatening!!!!
