Yesterday Jools and I drove out to Scotsdale Farm, at Ballinafad, Ontario,bequeathed to the Ontario Heritage Foundation 30 years ago. Unfortunately for me, the camera took one shot, then the battery gasped and died. Suitably chastened, I returned this afternoon with a recharged battery and a spare camera - just in case . . . Fortunately, the camera worked, the shone and this fine old horse said cheese when I pointed the camera at it.
