SPD

Clipless bike pedal from Shimano (wiki) (Shimano) never understand what SPD really stands for. Anyway another photo in my recent weeks closeup of bike parts.

These pedals have I think revolutionised mountain biking, I know many good (very good) riders who don't use them but the combination of great power, efficiency & control is well worth any minor inconvenience. While many brands and styles exist; I've stuck with the big S and spd's either because I couldn't be bothered changing, don't believe the hype of other manufacturers or like the bang for buck that Shimano offer
