Dam Dale, Peak District limestone country

From the village of Peak Forest to Miller's Dale on the River Wye, a side valley heads down from the hills. Four sections are given different names. The picture is looking up Dam Dale, the upper section. Next there is Hay Dale, the Peter Dale and finally Monk's Dale which is deeper and well wooded. I walked the whole length as part of a 13 mile loop from Tideswell, a most enjoyable walk.
