A fine birthday view - Edinburgh Castle

What finer view on a glorious spring day can one have on a birthday!

I took this view on my way into work from the Grassmarket (well actually, Granny Green's steps!).

I find that as I get older, birthdays don't seem to hold the same allure as they had when I was a kid, when they were quite magical. However, if when you reached a certain age, you started going backwards in age instead of forwards, now that would be magical!
