Spring
The tornado last thursday heralded spring. That night, a chorus of chirping, the "spring peepers"- our local frogs, began and has not stopped. The branches, bare on saturday are now sporting catkins, buds and leaves. Our yard is returning to life. Temperatures are breaking records- yesterday was 85 f....a pleasant summer day. I am wearing shorts.
Clean up from the tornado goes on. The neighborhood hit badly is full of blue tarps brightening the skyline which used to be dominated by grey roofing. We will be clearing more damaged trees at the weekend.
