D-Day

This stands for digger (and dumper) day. It had not rained -properly- for a record number of days so the long overdue job of finishing off the septic tank was attempted. The ground was still soggy but I can't remember a time when it wasn't. The machines will be finishing off tomorrow, weather permitting. I'll have to be buying grass seed when it's all flat and tidy.

My wwoofer has been building a stone wall around what was a pile of dubious topsoil which is about to be transformed into a woodland spring flower bed. So much going on today.

Fionn is back at work after a couple of nights in Bantry Hospital. He was severely dehydrated after his blood sugar levels went rocketing.

This is really not a very good shot and the day was cold and grey,But for me it's a significant milestone getting this job sorted, so it had to be recorded.
