"The Swinging 60s"

Another recruit joined our Over 60s dance class this morning in the Macrobert Centre, Stirling.

"What's your name?" asked Laura , our dance teacher.

"Anne."

We burst out laughing. Five of us are called Anne - and there are only 9 in the class.
(Some were not there today).

"You're like mercats," says Laura. "I call Anne and five of you turn around."

Today we did a bit of salsa dancing. How on earth do you co-ordinate
arms and legs?

Laura assures us it will happen once we become "more dancy" .

And the new Anne used to dance professionally something Laura spotted as soon as she started to move.

As for the rest of us.....

( We were in a different studio today , one without mirrors, so it was not so easy to photograph).


Next month the Macrobert Centre hosts the first ever Dance Festival. We will be there, watching, not taking part.
