Cutting
We have cracks in the so-called "warm reheat" piping. We discovered it during the overhaul of unit EC6, the cause is probably a small flow of condensate flowing back. This is a thermal shock for the material at appr. 35 bar (507psi) and 540°C (1004 F).
Dangerous situation, so it's lucky the units are not needed so the repairs are underway now at unit EC 3 and EC 7.
The tubelures bearing the safety valves have to be replaced. Here people from Stork are cutting through the material.
Here in LARGE...
Update about Carst: breathing goes a bit heavier but this afternoon he was begging at the neighbour for a dogsnack.. he keeps me amazed.
