DUCKING

.... out of sight. There were two drake Mallards and one female together on the canal as I walked into work. This one was in the midst of a very serious wash and brush up. Whether it was because he thought he was on to a good thing or had just had a good thing, I do not know.

I could see him swimming under water but only just before he burst to the surface, which is what I was really trying to photograph. Another day then .......
