Just Names.

Part of the morning shift at the front desk of hotel is doing the "Call-Around Sheet," which is the routine of calling other hotels to record their rate (price of room that day) and availability (number of rooms available) to get an idea of the market.

I'm beginning to match the voices to the names, but I haven't a clue what these people look like, what color their eyes are, how much they smile, what they do when they aren't answering the phone at a hotel, where they like to go out to eat, whom they love, what kin dof music they listen to, their favorite movie--nothing. Just names.

Perfect strangers.

So...does this count? I sure think it does. A portrait of my daily strangers.
