just a Moment in the wood

The wild wood

I'm sure there are Ents in this forest.

The moss, so thick and lush, lends personality to the trees. Strangely, not all are affected. There are trees, beside this little glade, quite unaffected and undraped.

Maybe the trees have always been like this. Maybe I've never slowed down to look before now. I'm coming to realise that the hardest thing to do on a car journey is to stop and get out.

A few weeks back, in Forest Schools, the pupils were creating personalities for a tree of their choice in the wood. I think I should show them this one. Now, how would you describe it's personality. Little hobbits.
