I tend to not acquire too many things on the offchance that they might become useful when things acquired for a definite purpose so often turn out to have a potential use when they have expired as the main exhibitor of their primary use. If it turns out to not be useful it'll shortly find its way into the bin as it's at least fourth in the queue for being re-used for what it was manufactured for.
