Blinded By The Light......Not Any More!

We have been in the house a month shy of 12 years, and today I finally got blinds up at the kitchen window.

This time of the year is particularly brutal, as the trees are still leafless and the kitchen faces west so when I start to make dinner around 4 or 5, the sun is blinding.

Got my 5 day later blinds installed this afternoon, and was able to prep my chicken pie without sunglasses.

It never ceases to amaze how much clutter accumulates on the counters. From left to right...
Toaster, Nicky J's cacti, knife blocks, scourer, chopping board, basil plant, washing up liquid, soap, rolling pin, empty HP sauce bottle, diaper wipes (great for cleaning up cat sick!), kettle, water spray (to keep Rodney off the counters) and the espresso machine.

Everything and the kitchen sink!
