A great find at Oxford Market? I hope she was happy with it!
I followed up the market with a look at the "Silk Road" section in the Ashmolean. I felt lucky to be able to spend an hour in this amazing museum, I think small sips are the best way to take in this kind of collection.
I met my husband after work and we had a stroll by the Radcliffe camera, where a young man ( I guessed a student) was playing Vivaldi on the violin outside All Souls, as the evening Spring sun shone - the perfect Oxford moment. Spoiled only by trying to photograph him, his bike, and a passing cyclist!

I did not post this yesterday as I went to the Creation/Factory theatre collaboration of Hamlet, held in the famous Blackwells bookshop. There were improvised elements to the production including using props that the audience had brought along eg an apple, two broken violins and a toy rabbit. Generally it worked well, and the cast were very ingenious, only occasionally the props worked as a distraction. The weird thing about Hamlet is how many of the phrases have worked their way into the English language.
