Saltburn Funnicular and Pier
Well the old free rail passes came in handy today an early rise and off to Saltburn on the North East coast of England as I heard they had a really nice view down the funnicular to the pier so a 6 hour round trip ended with this blip I was hoping the sun would be right out but the sun was still trying to burn off the early morning haze coming in from the North Sea unfortunately the funnicular was still closed as it is still not summer season yet but it was worth it for the view I also got some strange looks early while waiting for the train to Saltburn as one of my workmates looked out his cab on his way to Leeds probably wondering why I was floating around the north east so early in the morning I will probably get pelters from the lads thinking I am a closet Train Spotter haha anyway I hope you enjoy this blip as I thought the 6 hours was worth it I even helped a conductor on another train on my way home to point out a couple of fare dodgers spoil sport that I am but I always say that is one of the reasons ticket prices can be high as its not fare on the majority of fare paying passengers who do pay
