Procrastination

I set aside a whole day to do some PhD relevant reading today.

This involved: checking Facebook; putting a load of my girlfriend's washing on; reading the BBC news website; reading one page of a book about the social life of traded commodities; constructing an intricate web of bamboo poles in the sun to hang the washing on; hanging out the washing; putting another load of washing on; reading half a page of a book about the social life of traded commodities; checking Facebook; checking emails; checking BBC news website; doing the washing up; arranging to meet somebody for lunch; going for lunch; coming home; hanging out washing; putting up more bamboo poles to hang washing on; taking some washing down; taking bins out; checking Facebook; checking emails; checking BBC news; emailing supervisor to assure him I was definitely working even though I wasn't I. The office; reading another 2 pages of a book about the social life of traded commodities.

Then my girlfriend came home and I stopped work.
