Juvenile collared dove?

I came across this bird by the side of a road on my lunchtime walk. From the frenzied calling and flapping that was going on in the tree above me, I wonder if this is a juvenile collared dove. It seems a bit early for lost fledglings. The bird looked OK settled in the grass. Hope it managed to get airborne again and back up into the trees.
