Everyday I Write The Book

By Eyecatching

London, my London (2)

Had the most wonderful day - walked across Regents Park and up Primrose Hill for a fantastic view across London - the sun was out and it hit 20 degrees in the afternoon. Lots of time to stop and talk and just be together. Found a really lovely watering hole and sat in the garden for an hour with a couple of beers and some hummus and smoked aubergine, a place called the York and Albany which was really nice and had lovely staff (we even met the new manager who was charming and asked if we were enjoying ourselves and was genuinely - as opposed to disingenuously - engaging). The fact that we later discovered that it is owned by the loathsome Gordon Ramsay should not put you off, it was very nice - give it a go. Also has a nice looking deli next door.

We then took the bus down to London Bridge and went 'round Borough market and bought some cheese. Met The Dizzle for supper in Covent Garden before walking back across Waterloo Bridge and heading home. Which is where I took this blip.

Exhausted now of course.

The photographic lesson of the day is: using a tripod makes a huge difference to even the best pictures.

The "university of life" lesson of the day is : don't sit on a seat covered in bird shit.

The work / life balance lesson of the day is: colleagues should know better than to call when you are on a day off because it ain't fair and can cause people to get upset (TSM not me).

And so to bed.
