Long-awaited Return

The turkey's have returned after an entire winter without seeing them. A flock of fourteen arrived in our backyard this morning. BJ saw them first and alerted the kids. They're still very skiddish and after seeing Colby in the window decided that food in the field may be a safer bet. It's ironic, in July they're so close to the house that you could open the window and grab one.

Kaylee is going to try her hand at Turkey hunting this year. BJ is excited to show her the ropes and she's eager to learn. It'll be a bonding experience for both of them. I am hopeful that an opportunity presents itself that lends positive results - I plan on being there to capture the moments too!
