Top Gun House

In the movie Top Gun, this is the house where Maverick's girlfriend Charlie lived. It is looking rather haggard lately. Last rumor I heard, someone was going to turn it into a restaurant/cafe...it would have to take a lot of work and additions as it is quite small.

It is located just 2 blocks north on my street. I believe they are trying to have it listed in the National Register of Historic Places but all the other houses that were on the lot were old and quaint too. And they tore them down anyway, along with some mighty fine Canary Island Date Palms. Ah progress!
